Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana is housed by VIA LINK a Louisiana 501(c)3 non-profit. Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana has a mission of providing 24/7 emotional support for families, connection to parenting resources, advocacy for children and families, and education for those who care for Louisiana’s children.
VIA LINK was approved to house the Louisiana affiliate for Prevent Child Abuse America in October of 2022.

Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana (PCAL) has a mission of providing 24/7 emotional support for families, connection to parenting resources, advocacy for children and families, and education for those who care for Louisiana’s children.
Our History
The Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America) nationwide state chapter network has been around since 1976 when the first chapter opened in Kansas. The goal is to have a chapter in all 50 states.
Chapters focus on prevention efforts, providing state-level expertise and resources. They work with community partners to deliver valuable day-to-day prevention work, including the formulation of innovative strategies to address issues such as child sexual abuse, raising awareness for the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and advocating with state and local governments to ensure that there is funding available for programs designed to benefit children and families. In October of 2022 VIA LINK was able to bring a chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America back to Louisiana and house the Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana (PCAL) office under VIA LINK.
